I wanted to share the following testimony from the field that was shared with me lately…
God has really blessed our Good News Club at our Elementary School. God led us to begin our club nine years ago, and we had a total enrollment of about 50 students, with 18 boys and girls receiving Christ as their personal Savior. Each year the enrollment has grown, and more and more children have made a first-time decision. This past year, our enrollment was close to 100, and we had 36 children accept Christ — the most we’ve had yet. That makes close to 200 total decisions for salvation in the nine-year period!! Praise God!
It is so exciting for those of us working in this club to watch God at work, and see the children grow in their faith. One fourth grade girl began attending GNC in 2014 and was saved in March. She then invited her older brother, who was saved at our last meeting, in May. The next year, she brought her three younger brothers, who were also saved during that year. Now, she’s asking me to pray for her other older brother, who is too old for Good News Club. She started attending our church or going to another one with her grandparents, but we’re trusting God will also get her parents started!
To me, that is what Good News Club is all about, and I eagerly look forward to seeing what The Lord has in store for us this (our 10th) year. I’m thankful for every one of our faithful volunteers; some who have been with us from the start, and for the three new ones this year. I am especially thankful for our prayer partners because, without the prayers of God’s people, none of this would be possible!
