Some people feel that change is a bad thing. Others would say that change is a good thing. In most cases, both are probably right. In certain circumstances, change is a bad thing, and in other circumstances, change is a good thing. However, I think we could all agree on the fact that change happens, whether we like it or not.
Our life changed this school year because our oldest son, Caleb, started Kindergarten. Due to that, we have to adjust and make several changes, in fact, you could say that change is all around us. Some people like change and some don’t. In a world of change, there is a promise we can hold on to. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Jesus is the Constant.
Today’s children have grown up in a society being taught that there is nothing that is an absolute and nothing that is certain. In every situation of their lives, they have seen nothing that is a solid rock that they can cling to. Children want that…they need that…they need Jesus, the Solid Rock.
