Since its founding, Child Evangelism Fellowship has existed to serve the local church. In fact, we include the church in our mission statement--that CEF exists to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God, and establish them in the local church for Christian living. The Church is at the heart of CEF ministry.
The Lord has used the COVID-19 pandemic to strengthen the partnership between CEF and the local church. When the doors to schools closed, the doors of ministry opportunities though the churches swung open. We PRAISE THE LORD for the churches who received the vision to impact their communities for Christ and were steadfastly looking for new and creative ways to go to where the children are and to reach them with the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Some churches opened their doors to have clubs at the church; others had church members open their homes so Good News Clubs could continue. Ministry took place on front porches, public parks, community centers, and in tents. Drive-through events took place in parking lots and clubs were even taking place virtually on many different types of virtual platforms. The partnership between CEF and the local church impacted different communities within the Greater Huntington Chapter, but most importantly it impacted the KINGDOM OF GOD!
CEF of Greater Huntington would love to partner with your church and other churches in your community to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! Please contact us today to learn how we can work together to reach boys and girls with the Gospel and see them established in a local church.
