This month I’m pleased to share one of God’s success stories this school year directly from that Good News Club Coordinator:
"We will overcome By the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our Testimony."
As the little girl finished her prayer in Sunday School she said, “Thank You for the Dictionaries who teach about Jesus.”
My favorite “Christmas” Song is “O Holy Night”. Here are the lyrics of the first verse and chorus of that great song…
Joshua 3:14-17 NKJV says,
Has 2020 felt like you’ve lost control in some way? Well…let this sink in for a moment…
Child Evangelism Fellowship® exists for to fulfill three purposes:
Leviticus 26:10 says, “You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new.” (NIV) The way this verse in this particular translation reads really jumped off the pages of scripture to me recently. It was if the Holy Spirit had just sent me a text message.
Patrick Henry is known for several things including being the first post-colonial governor of Virginia, one of the founding fathers of our great country, and his “Give me Liberty, or give me death!” speech. However, we should truly appreciate him for quotes like this, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ!”
Over the past three months around the globe we have seen things change moment by moment! These are exciting, yet uncertain days! We know God is busy about working His plan and fulfilling His prophetic promises that these things will happen.
This month the only words I want to share are directly God’s Words and not mine. May His truths strengthen your minds and encourage your hearts at this time…
The Great Commission is something I am sure that all of you know about and have heard of to some degree. It’s the Lord’s command to “Go” and evangelize and disciple others
“Yield.” When we think of this word we probably think about the road sign telling us to slow down and watch for oncoming traffic.
Separation anxiety disorder is defined as “an anxiety disorder in which an individual experiences excessive anxiety regarding separation from home and/or from people to whom the individual has a strong emotional attachment (e.g., a parent, caregiver, significant other or siblings).”
Believe it or not, it’s 2020. While growing up, we all heard the adults around us talk about how time was just flying by. And, if you were like us, none of you believed that. It seemed like 100 years between your birthdays, and the 24 days leading up Christmas seemed like 1,000 years. But as we get older, the more and more we realize just how fast time truly flies by.
Let the words of this glorious hymn, “To God be the Glory” speak to you today.
Weekend mode. That’s what our boys call from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening.
Child Evangelism Fellowship’s ministry calendar runs from September 1-August 31. This way all of the statistics for the school year and summer ministries can be totaled together. For this past CEF Ministry year, September 1, 2018-August 31, 2019, the CEF of Greater Huntington Chapter reached 4,623 children and 293 of those children made first-time decisions for Christ and 79 previously unchurched children were established in local Bible believing churches!!! What a blessing!
CEF of Greater Huntington is privileged to serve Good News Clubs® in Cabell, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, Mingo, Putnam, and Wayne counties in West Virginia, Boyd County in Kentucky, and Lawrence County in Ohio. In 2018 we trained and supported Good News Clubs® that were served by 624 local Tri-State church volunteers who reached 2,763 local children. Over the past 5 years we have seen 1,399 students profess faith in Jesus Christ alone as their Savior and 508 students established in a local church. God is blessing this important work.
